VSCLS Student Scholarship

The Virginia Society for Clinical Laboratory Science is pleased to announce the recipient of the 2010-2011 Student Scholarship.

Casey Hartless is currently enrolled in the Augusta Health School of Clinical Laboratory Science and will graduate in June 2011. Casey attended Bridgewater College and graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Casey currently works two jobs while she goes to school but enjoys spending her "free" time outside hiking, running or swimming. She also enjoys spending time with her family, friends and her dog. Casey would like to work in a hospital lab for a few years before becoming a traveling CLS. She says, "It has been my dream to travel and help out medically since I can remember, I just never knew how I would/could help until I discovered this field."

Casey was recognized at the annual membership meeting in March, 2011. Congratulations Casey!
